If anyone’s curious, my Come Dine With Me The Musical blog earned me 20 whole pennies through Adsense (the annoying ads all over my blog).

That’s actually the most I’ve ever earned through this site and anything I’ve published so I will count that as an achievement. One day I’ll hit that £60 minimum withdrawal limit and cash out!

This weekend was chaos in the best way.

Saturday was spent at Norwich Pride, walking the march and mooching round all the stalls. I got my steps in early. This was with my best friend Soph and their partner Max, and I had a good day (even if I was dressed as heterosexual as possible in my jeans and white top).

Then in the evening, I went out for drinks and dancing with a few of Reece’s family members, to celebrate his Auntie’s 50th birthday. I can tell you now – tequila is great, the hangover the next day… Not so much.

It was quite a good night actually, and I got to go to a few places I’ve never been to before. We started at 11th & Social, a cute little New York themed cocktail bar. Then we went to Cuba Revolution, for more cocktails (and shots), had a little bit of a dance here but this place isn’t quite my favourite – the risk of being harassed by dirty, slimy 50 year old men is high and I don’t like that one bit.

We then moved to Mr Apostles, another cute little cocktail bar where we had another drink and some dancing, the first time I’ve ever actually had a drink and spent time in Mr Apostles. It was quite nice actually, not overly busy, and not overly full of people that look at you and make you uncomfortable. I’ve only ever nipped in here once to use the loo when out with a few other people years back.

I fully got my steps in and after spending some time in Popworld it was time to drop Reece’s sister back home and grab some veggie dippers from McDonalds. I’ve fully started to choose veggie options over meat – I’ll still eat it, I won’t fully turn it down, but after a traumatic experience with some chicken at a family BBQ I can’t bring myself to say I like chicken anymore.

Thinking about it makes me shudder.

Anyway.

Sunday was a day for sleeping most of the day, tidying around where I had some energy, and recovering from the day before, because it was a lot. I haven’t had a full day like that for a long while and my hips and legs the next day were telling me they didn’t enjoy it at all.

I did though, so that’s all that matters. And now it’s only a week until I turn 25!
