Space Girl – Lush Cosmetics

Space Girl - Lush Cosmetics

A humble Saturday morning was spent scrolling through my Instagram feed – as you do. I follow a variety of people, including some ‘Lushies’ (people who post mainly about Lush Cosmetics).

This turned into me accidentally dropping £60 on a delivery. Oops.

When I was 15 and first started going to the city with friends, I walked into Lush Cosmetics where they used to be based on Gentlemen’s Walk in Norwich City Centre. It was great, I was a teenage girl in a shop full of bath bombs. Loved it.

My first ever purchase from Lush was the Space Girl bath bomb, and it soon became a favourite of mine.

A few years back, they discontinued Space Girl and I was devastated, to say the least. There’s 2 bath scents I love most from Lush, Space Girl and Snow Fairy. My friend’s associate Snow Fairy with me the most, and if they can smell it, they know I’m likely to be nearby because I stock up every Christmas so I can spray myself, wash myself, lather myself all year round.

Saturday morning, I saw someone post about a limited edition Space Girl body spray. I don’t make it a habit to buy body sprays from Lush all that often because I can’t always justify the price, but £25 for one of my favourite scents which do not come back very often (at all, ever) is a small price to pay.

I placed the order quickly, not wanting it to sell out, I know what my favourite scents are like.

Then I continued scrolling through, looking at what new things Lush had in store…

My favourite bath bomb. It was in stock, sitting there, staring at me.

So I bought four.

Oops.

The Space Girl scent is described on the Lush Cosmetics as: “Elevating grapefruit oil refreshes and uplifts the mood, clarifying and toning the skin, while bergamot leaves you feeling relaxed on a galactic level.”

It includes grapefruit, for a “sparkly scent, uplifting and cleansing”, bergamot for it’s “sweet, uplifting, and shine-enhancing aroma”, and almond as it is “soothing, moisturising, and fragrancing”.

Space Girl is quite a bath-tub-safe bath bomb, it doesn’t have too much glitter and it is a soft, pastel colour which doesn’t stain. There’s never often a lot of pretty ‘bath art’ with Space Girl, but it does have a soothing and relaxing scent and I’m so glad it has returned.

I’m not too sure how long Space Girl is back for, whether this is a limited edition run for a short time, or if it’ll be around for the summer, or what, but I am sure glad to be able to buy it again.

If Space Girl is still around in September, I’ll make another order of some bath bombs so I have a nice stock growing.
